LSIA is proposed to open in the 2022-23 school year and will initially serve grades K-6 (growing one grade level each year moving forward).
LSIA expects all students to participate in at least one co/extra-curricular activity. We will provide after school clubs in the elementary such as chess, archery, cross country, boxing/martial arts, cooking, art, music, construction, and wilderness adventures. Our middle and high school students will have opportunities to participate in variety of athletic programs, band, choir, drama, and wilderness adventures.
Yes, LSIA plans to contract with District 11 Food Services or a Charter School Food Authority.
Yes, a before and after care provider will offer services from 6:30am -8:00am and 3pm-6:00pm.
Yes, LSIA will have staff onsite to serve student plans and utilize contracted experts when needed to provide the service requirements. Additionally, we will provide ELL services as required.
Yes, all LSIA teachers will be qualified.
Yes, our community hub partners will offer transportation to and from the school from several locations around Colorado Springs.
Yes, LSIA is currently applying to become a public charter school in Colorado and will therefore be a free public school of choice.
